Hazlemere Community Centre was officially opened by Sir John Hall, O.B.E. on 16th October 1976 after fundraising efforts by the local community. This fundraising effort consisted of locals collecting waste paper and selling it to raise £20,000, and the council then paid the remainder of the money needed to build the centre..
A registered charity, the community centre has a licensed bar for HCA members and guests, open Monday to Saturday evenings and Sunday lunchtime and children are welcome if they are accompanied by a responsible adult.
The halls are available for hire for wedding receptions, parties, jumble sales, meetings etc., and during the week for activities such as those listed on the HCA Groups page.
The Centre is situated next door to SIr William Ramsey School and that is on the Arriva bus route 31 with a stop just outside.
There is also ample off-street parking available in the Hazlemere Community Association car park at the back of the building. Please note parking is free for those using the community centre - you simply have to register your car details on the appropriate tablet, which is situated in the entrance of the Community Centre. For those not using the centre parking is chargeable. Parking Eye manage the car park
